FOLLOWING NEWS OF JOB LOSSES, DOW FUTURES DROP 200 POINTS, WITH DELL IN THE SPOTLIGHT. U.S. stocks are seen opening lower Monday, starting the new week on a negative note as investors awaited the release of more corporate earnings and an eagerly awaited speech from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell. The Dow futures contract was down 200 points, The main U.S. averages have had a hot start to the year, but closed lower on Friday after the robust U.S. jobs report prompted investors to reconsider how hawkish the Fed may need to be in its efforts to rein in inflation. The blue-chip Dow Jones Industrial Average closed almost 130 points, or 0.4% lower Friday, while the broad-based S&P 500 fell 1%, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite ended 1.6% lower.
